Thank you Erik,

You wouldn't need to cut out holes for the sockets on the Behringer patchbay specifically, but on the Samson S-Patch Plus, the sockets unfortunately overlap with the designation strip so you might chose to cut out little "half-moon" shaped holes for the sockets. It's quite time consuming though so I would recommend attaching the label on the inside of the patchbay instead - below the top row of sockets and above the bottom row of sockets. There's just enough room there to attach a label without having to cut anything extra out.

Thats a great fix with the magnetic paper. Do you need to cut out the holes for all the TRS ins and outs?

Hi Rich,

On another blog post, I mentioned the Kodak Magnetic Inkjet paper which is a normal paper that you can print on but it's got a magnetic coating on one side so after cutting out the label, you can just stick it on the front panel of the patchbay without any adhesive.

In reply to <a href="https://www.patchcad.com/?p=198/#comment-465">Alex Vazquez</a>.

I’m painfully aware that a great deal of the potential users use a Mac - especially in the audio world - but writing software for OS X take A LOT longer and I am less familiar with the process. My background is in Windows development. Porting PatchCAD to OS X means writing it again from scratch. I made a commitment that if PatchCAD generates enough revenue, I would hire someone to write a Mac version. It’s only been a little while since PatchCAD was launched and it’s doing well, but it’s still early days. I cannot promise a date for a Mac version just yet.

The good news is that I use a Mac. I run Windows on Parallels Desktop. I developed the whole software like this. It’s exactly liking having a PC machine. PatchCAD works perfectly on Parallels, VMWave and even Virtual Box (which is free), or of course on Bootcamp. I know that the downside is having to own a copy of Windows, but a native MacOS version will take a while. Apologies :(

Your product looks to be exactly what I'm looking for. Any estimates as to when it may be available for Mac?

Thank you,
